We participated in Medina Elementary School‘s science fair on May 21, 2008 as our first public event to introduce our project.
The highlights of our booth were:
- Great interest from families to learn of the existence of our program
- Hands-on engagement from students in interactive exhibits such as Van de Graaff generator, Dissecting Microscope, Chromatography and Origami.
- Support from Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) in loaning the Mechanical Gears. Many parents with engineering background were excited and surprised to see the movement of square gears. Students were excited to turn the gears and see the gear movement.
