The science education and the versatility of the American workforce are both in decline. The following book “Rising Above the Gathering Storm: Energizing and Employing America for a Brighter Economic Future” recommends that we need to increase America’s talent pool by vastly improving K-12 mathematics and science education. In addition to reading the book online, listen to this podcast titled “Is America falling off the flat earth?“.

Developing a child’s love of science can be a world changing event. Tomorrow’s workers will need a deep knowledge of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in order to fuel an increasingly innovation-based US economy. Inspiring passion for science must happen at a formative age so that a child’s curiosity and fascination can fuel a life-long pursuit of knowledge.

Our nation must provide the talent to succeed in the competitive world market fueled by scientific innvations.
